Relocating to Chattanooga - Please help?
Hello all! My husband and I are relocating to Chattanooga area in a few months. We are a couple of 40 year olds with no kids living with us. We want to rent apt/house first and then buy again. I simply adore the Chattanooga area! We own a small trucking business in Albany GA, and had thought it may be easier to live on the GA/TN line in GA for business purposes. Don't know how hard it will be to transfer everything to TN....maybe a GA P.O. Box and a TN address???? LOL Anyhow, Chattanooga is really really really (really?) callin my name! I was thinking that if we (meaning me, lol) have to pack up all our "stuff", I sure would like to have a view wherever we live. Mtns, rivers, streams, whatever....if at all possible and within our price range. We are paying college tuition for 3 kids! GULP!!!  We had thought to spend about 600 a month on rent, but I think we may have to go up on that after checking out some of the apts in the chattanooga real estate magazine. I saw pictures of some apts that are on (or darn near) a large body of water AND have a mountain view! Paradise to me!!!!
Does anyone know of a nice place to rent in a good area that is reasonably priced? I am not famiiar with which areas are "good" or "bad". Also, my husband will be gone some due to business and I would like to be in an area, or rent an apartment, that has some things to do.....(some apts have gyms, pool, walking trails, etc...) and I do love all the touristy things too. I would also like very much to get to know the people in the area, church, etc..and make some new friends once we are settled.
By the way, this is a great forum, and after all the threads and posts I have read, you guys are some of the friendliest I have seen! (Or would it be that I have read??LOL)

I like missionary ridge and there are some resonable apts there and a view.
I now own a house and a business in Chattanooga, I love it here.
