Default local artists/organic foods etc... in chattanooga??

good morning....

my partner and i are considering moving to the chattanooga area. and we have read a lot on the forums and it sounds like a great place to be. but wanted to know a few more things. we love healthy/organic foods, going to starving artists shops, shows, local wine tastings and listening to local musicians in small pubs/coffee houses. what are the prospects of finding that in the chattanooga area??

we live in the ATL now and am just about sick of the traffic, crime etc... ready for the mountains and a slower pace of life.... thinking TN may provide this... i guess maybe what i am asking is this: is there a little touch of asheville in chattanooga? ( would do asheville but the cost of living, lack of jobs for our fields and low income otherwise prevent us from doing that)

thank you for your help

What kind of work are you in?

Here are a couple of organic links for you:

Crabtree Farms

Crabtree farms is a great little place just outside of downtown. Sequatchi Cove Farms is over the mountain in... Sequatchi Cove For local organic shopping there is the Fresh Market or Greenlife (my personal favorite). We also have the Sunday events @ the Chattanooga Market. An outdoor'ish venue with lots of crafts, food and art.

We do have some cool areas to hang out. Little coffee shops and such. Sounds like North Chattanooga is RIGHT up your alley.

Speaking of wine! We have a grape stomp this weekend. Come on and join us
