Thanks Rick. I remember seeing your posts awhile back. You should stick around and get a feel for everyone here on the board. I may have asked and forgot, where in Florida are you now?

Take care and when you are up, take some pictures so we can keep an eye on the changes through season. How was the Cornbread Festival?

rick-FL is on a distinguished road
I am from the Central Florida area but have always enjoyed the area between Atlanta and Chattanooga (I am sort of a "Civil War" buff so you can imagine the areas that can be seen in this area). I long to semi-retire in that area so when I came across SP it just seemed to be perfect. Next time I go up I will certainly drop a few pictures. Cornbread Festival is just a good "down home" type event. The small town feel in Orlando is long gone and when I was doing my research (January) of the area in considering whether to purchase or not in Sequatchie Pointe found the small town of South Pittsburg nearby. In talking with a few in town found out they were known for the "Cornbread Festival". Being someone who cannot turn down a piece of good 'ole cornbread I had to find out more and realized it is quite an event so planned to come back in April which I did. I have attached just a couple of the event so you can see (as well as a few of SP. Note these pictures are back from April). Actually had a great time at the Cornbread Festival for a few hours then went back to the property "visuallizing" where the future home was going!! I've got more pictures but didn't want to use up too much bandwidth.

Rick great pics! We also attended the cornbread festival. Too bad we didn't know to look for ya. My little one had his first Ferris Wheel ride there.

Last weekend in April every year is the National Cornbread Festival so as stated you always have April 2008 (April 26 and 27) to catch it. National Cornbread Festival Home Page. I'll be there April 2008 as well!!
