Hey there!
Just curious about the safety aspect of East Chattanooga neighborhoods, specifically Highland Park, Orchard Knob, Glenwood areas confluence. . looking at buying a first time home but unsure of the general feel of the area. Is growth suspected in this part of town? Property value? Buying from out of state. Love Chatt and the environment.
Thanks in advance!

It's a very marginal neighborhood. They're super nice if getting robbed and listening to gunshots is your idea of a nice neighborhood.

I do know Highland park homes have seen a surge in pricing in the last few years, and those homes are absolutely gorgeous once rehabbed! I believe if any of those areas are growth expected, it is highland park. Best way to check is to go to the www.chattanooga.gov website , look for the pay your taxes area, and do a search by street name. from there you could click on anyones name and look at the property (tax assessed value) year after year. it shows what area is going up in price. St. Elmo was one of those , didn't want to live there, to now, can't afford to buy a house, areas. It happens, just take a little more time
