This is our 3rd visit to TN from Michigan.* We have lived out in the country with no neighbors for 28 years and love it.* We are looking for that "to die for" lake lot on Lake Chicamauga or ?* We are retired. We have noticed nearly all the lake lots that are available are extremely small.*We would be happy with lakeview if there weren't houses blocking the view.* We would like 2 acres on the lake* - more acreage if a lakeview.* We are planning a 1031 exchange for about $280,000.* We are outdoors oriented and a house is secondary to the land for us.We have seen Espalier Bay, Grande Vista Bay and Swan Ridge(Dale Hollow)Rivers would be OK too.* Developments were not our cup of tea but it's difficult to find land that hasn't been spoiled in some way.* I'm an avid gardener and that makes it especially hard to find property.* I'm not into vertical gardening.Any new developments in the works that haven't already sold their best lots? Michigander

I'm not a 1031 exchange person but I thought you had to use it as income property for one year before being able to convert it to your own use. How do you do that with land?

Have ya'll looked up near Watts Bar? Check classifieds in the Times Free Press and realty sites for Rhea County/Spring City. I just saw quite a few land lots for Chickamauga as well as homes and land for Watts Bar in that price range.

I have a boat docked at Terrace View Marina in Spring City on Watts Bar Lake. There are LOTS of nice lakefront lots for sale up there. Some with houses, some without.

Good luck,
Joe
