The Festival looks like a really fun time! Is it a local thing, or do people come from all over for it? Is it right on Main Street downtown Chattanooga?

Blue, people come from all over to the festival. It IS a good time I have not been in years but we usually camp out @ Nicki's or Coolidge Park for the fireworks.

Sounds like a ton of fun! I hope my husband has a job transfer by then and we can come this year. I was looking at all the aerial photos...is that stage always there or just put up for the festival? It looks like a great concert place.

its always on the river, the coca cola stage is always brought to ross' landing for the event... its normally kept up river some. but they do have some of the best vendors around. It is always jam packed out there, and its gonna be even worse this year with zz top and the black crowes performing!

my first Riverbend was quite an experience! The Black Crows rocked..that was definitely the craziest night--people everywhere! I saw America, and they played all the expected songs...there voices have changed a bit, but still it was fun for everyone in attendance (much smaller crowd) Think I was the youngest person there
MercyMe put on a great show....we staked out a different place to sit and it was very enjoyable.
ZZTop blew the doors off the Aquarium! They rocked so long and hard I thought the paramedics would be rushing the stage at any moment to revive the crowd (you thought I was going to say the band ) You know it's a great concert when you know EVERY song being sung. Truly a memorable concert!
Bachman-Cummings-Turner-Overdrive-Guess Who was heard only from a distance. LW & I hung out across the river on the 3rd floor fire escape of my office to view the fireworks finale which was AWESOME! I've seen a lot of crappy fireworks shows, and had high hopes. The Scenic City did not disappoint. Can't wait to see what's in store for the 4th of July (or Fourth of July Eve)

I THOUGHT that was you guys on the other side of the river ! We were on the pedestrian bridge watching the fireworks. *Psst* Don't tell anyone but you can watch quite a bit of Riverbend from the museum's front yard and there were porta-potties there too. I have not been to the festival in years but never miss the fireworks. They were great! How 'bout those smiley face ones?
Glad you all had fun!!
