Where is Hickson, TN? (Chattanooga: rent, home, to buy)

Where exactly is Hickson, TN? I do know it's close to Chattanooga. I visited there 12 years ago and it was really beautiful...as is all of TN, I'm sure! What are the nearby amenities? How is the traffic there? Many retirees? How about home prices? Can you rent a small home there on a small budget? Or is it better to buy? I'd appreciate any information anyone is willing to share!

carmac, you can glean a lot of info on Hixson by doing a search for that name in this forum. Just follow these steps:

1. type Hixson in the "Search by Key Word" box;
2. select "Show Results as Posts" in the "Search Options" section;
3. select Chattanooga as the forum you'd like to search;
4. hit "Search Now" and you should come up w/ 140+ results, some of which I'm sure you'll find useful.
