my commute is along Hixson Pike into downtown so I don't really see what's happening on the highways. I do know that it's a little bit of a back up when exiting 75 to 24 into the city.

For a few years I traveled the state of TN for work both east and west and a little of GA. Middle TN was the easiest traveled by far. I always scheduled to get to a larger city (Knoxville or Nashville) before or after rush hour. Compared to lil ol' Chattanooga the traffic was a nightmare but I don't get out much so who's to say what your opinion of "traffic" would be lol Chattanooga is a hub for ALOT of traffic so if there is a wreck on the interstate you are in for a long wait. Learn the side roads and take a map is probably the best advice I can give you

Default Commute

I live in Monteagle and a large number of people do the Chattanooga commute from here (45 miles). I have personally done the 30 mile commute into Chicago for years and it was a nightmare. The commute to Chattanooga from here is a dream come true. I can still live in paradise AND make a living.
