Default The Dinner House by the Choo-Choo

Wife and I visited last month. Since "it's the law", we visited the Choo-Choo, & had our photo taken at an old time shop in the adjacent strip center. While there we decided to have dinner at a place where the wait staff sings with a band in between food service. Anyway, can't remember the name of the place. Hoping you locals can fill in the blank. Food was good-entertainment was excellent-the waiters/waitresses are incredibly talented!

Incidentally, we loved your city. You folks should be very proud to call Chattanooga home!

Finally ate at Terra Nostra... What a super fun time! Everything was so delicious & presented beautifully. The vegetarian menu was abundant which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend a flan for dessert.yum! They have brazilian beers too!
Jaybee... I'm thinking you may have eaten at Vaudeville Cafe. Was the restaurant downtown?

Thanks for the response Etta.

Well, it was in the small commercial center built next to the Choo-Choo. I think you'd call it "downtown", though I'm not sure where locals "draw the boundary". Vaudeville Cafe seems like an appropriate name. We rode the electric bus to get there from our motel.

As far as hamburgers go, My favorite place is 5 Guys Burgers and Fires. The fries are incredible. A close second is Tubbys.

Default Lunch/Brunch???

We plan to visit Chattanooga Dec 24/25 and will stay at the Holiday Inn/Choo Choo. I know that some restaurants may not be open but--what would you suggest for lunch/brunch if you could eat anywhere? And if you wanted to stay in walking distance of the hotel?

I am reading about the Bluff View district and think I saw something about a place for brunch there. Maybe we'll just have to come back another time if there are so many good places to eat and things to see in Chattanooga.

tia
