Does anyone know if the Hixson Pike store IS going to reopen?
The website does not have much info, and you always hear people refer to that location as the "old" Greenlife store. Or "where Greenlife used to be." And does anyone know when and if the new Publix is going to open? I can't seem to find a definite answer on that. Some things say summer and some say more towards the end of the year. |

I'm pretty sure that the Hixson Pike location will not be reopening as a grocery store. What it will become is unknown at this time

I was just wondering because on their website and on the sign outside it says that it is closed temporarily.

some speculated that it would reopen as a wine store, but then I heard TN law does not allow a grocery store to own a wine shop....so who know?

Hi all. I live with a fellow that works for the greenlife in asheville nc. I just went & asked him if he knew what was going on with the old greenlife in chattanooga tn. He said that it is not going to reopen as a grocery store. Many ideas have been tossed around as to what to make it. A healthy diner is the best sounding idea he mentioned. He said he wouldn't be surprised if they tried to make it a wine shop. They have had an offer by another company to buy the building but have declined so I guess they have some sort of plan for it. Whatever the case, it seems as though they are not in a hurry. This is all the information/speculation I could dig up.

Greenlife already opened a wine shop right next to their new location. I too have been curious what they'll do with the old building.

There does seem to be some cross-promotion between the two though |

Strange, as there is a huge glass window wall looking from Green Life into the wine store.
