There are ALOT of inexpensive homes there including one that has a small ridge in the background and looks like the Adams family house. It looks SOOooo perfect. What is the deal with this area? This house is listed as 33k.Now I have compared the crime statistics to Fort Lauderdale(where I am from) and Miami(worst case scenario)and it seems murder and rape are high there but theft, ect is higher in our area.

Is anyone from this area? Can you shed some light on why this might be bad because if not I`m coming on up!!!Prices here are overinflated as in the land is not actually worth the 450k/townhome they are asking and even if we found a home the property taxes would probably be too much.

I haven't visited Chatt since July of '05. Looking at mapquest, that area looks kind of near the St. Elmo's area, which they are trying to rehab. I think the area is fairly poor, but I would check it out. Chattanooga is doing a lot of restoration to their city.
