Inhale. Take some deep breaths. Relax. We are all here to help you. Everything will fall into place for you, and when you get here, you've got a small handful of really helpful people on this site, myself included, that will help you out. Keep in touch and let us know when you are arriving, or what kind of help you will need.

I can only keep repeating myself- Thanks to all you out there being so helpful & nice.
Well Ticket for hubby is bought now and he'll be there 1st Oct week, the old Jeep is sold and I sure hope once he's there I'll get good news too and can move the Household goods & myself.
So all in all given my job here, I'd be there EARLIEST end of Nov....so let's hope no longer then that.
Also got a place to live for him for the first few weeks.
No the only thing left is to buy some lil old car, cause I checked rental prices for the time it would take to ship our Jeep and looking at 1,000+ so we'll just buy something lil > Any suggestions for decent dealers anywhere between Chattanooga & Cookeville?
P.S. Should I mention in lil less then 3 weeks now I also dealt with a pinched nerve in my neck & had a wisdom tooth pulled!? I am gladddd when Sep is over LOL

Angel....what did you find for the temporary housing? We will need something for about a month starting Oct. 12.

Well the temp living is actually a family "cabin" (cabin being 5,000 sq ft) til we can close on our own house, cause no one uses the cabin.
But once in town I suggest to you to get the local papers (or do online) there's a bunch rentals and also if you need stuff even shorter then that, there's decent Motels for like $35.
Granted the others here are farrrr better then me, cause they're on site, me not just yet, but let me know if I can help, we're all in the same boat here right !? :-)

I know this is a bit off subject and I appologize but to help ease some of your worries; when you get here or even when hubby gets here you should check out The Freecycle Network and put in your location. It has a world of friendly people (like me ) that offer stuff for free to anyone that can use it. Ranging from household things to at one time a house. You can post wanted or offering, it's really helpful especially if you are starting over and limited on money. Just a thought to help.
Best of luck with your move!

What a coincidence....I have a bag sitting out on my front porch right now waiting to be picked up tonight thru Freecycle. I've been decluttering for months getting ready to move and have freecycled a ton of good 'stuff'! I am hoping there will be an active group going in Chattanooga when I get there.

Seriously right now I am THANKFUL for any & all info I can possibly get my hands on, starting all over in TN. Specially coming back to the US after so many yrs away I feel like I'll need one of these immigration courses or somethin to get me used to the US again :-)

Freecycle is a wonderful thing!!! I always hate to throw out anything good, but sadly have been know to do so. Freecycle is a great idea and is "neighbor helping neighbor" so it really ties into the whole City Data concept in my opinion!
