We are new to North Atlanta but would like to take the kids on a day trip to the Chattanooga area and are looking for a GREAT pumpkin patch and/or apple orchard that is worth the trip.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

There was an amazing place in Crossville called Cox Pumpkin Patch. There is a huge clean gorgeous barn where you pay your $6.00 fee and embark on a great hay ride pulled by a tractor. You sit on the flat bed trailer that is lined with hay bales to sit on and they drive you way out into the pumpkin patch and stop and let you off to hunt down your best pumpkins. You select whatever ones you want and then you are back on the hay ride and then it stops off at their little petting zoo which is adorable. The back on the hay ride again and they bring you back to the big barn where you will sample their fabulous cider. Then they give each person a little bag of wonderful gourds to take home. You can walk all around and select more pumpkins and gourds, buy cider, the best in the world. This was the best $6.00 I ever spent on my kids each year while they were growing up. I hope they are still in business. Try the Crossville directory or the Crossville Chamber of Commerece in Cumberland County. Well worth the trip.

I've heard of the Cox Patch too. Must be a good one

Another I've heard of is Burts in Ellijay GA. It won't bring you to Chattanooga but some swear by it.
