Default FREE Zoo day today

The Chattanooga Zoo is free today only (Saturday the 11th). It way be very crowded though, as there is a huge event going on to raise funds for a "boundary free" playground for handicapped persons. I'm going to support the cause.

It was decent. The zoo is way too small for a city this size, and too many animals are in cages by themselves and they look lonely. The administrative building is way too large and takes up too much of a footprint to be inside the zoo proper. They should have built is outide of the zoo and left that land for future animal exhibits. It's nothing like the Miami metrozoo, which is an all day adventure.

Chattanoogas one of the only cities I've lived in that I'd drive an hour or so just to go to a zoo somewhere else. in NJ theres a free zoo that's twice maybe three times the size of the Chattanooga zoo
