Default We Loved Chattanooga

My husband and I just got back from our trip to the South. We were able to spend 3 days in the Chattanooga area...we stayed up in Hixson. Tennessee is as beautiful as I remembered it, and my husband, who had never been there thought it was awesome.

Being from California with all the conjestion, traffic, too many people, too few trees, etc....we found it absolutely wonderful. We were able to attend the Mountain Opry up on Signal Mountain on the Friday night we were there...what a joy! Everywhere we went, people were just so nice and friendly. I even introduced my husband to the Waffle House...he LOVED it!!

We also made a discovery while we were there...if we are ever able to move there, we would love to live in the city. Is it always so unconjested? We were there on a late Friday afternoon, around 5:00 p.m.. If it had been California, we would have been stuck in traffic at that time!

Is the city as safe as it appears? I know there is crime everywhere, but at no time, while we were downtown, did we feel unsafe. Anyway, I just wanted to share our experience and tell you all what a beautiful city you have!

Yep, its pretty much always like that in regard to traffic. It can be heavy in the evenings on 24 heading for 75 but not like Cali traffic. There are some not so nice areas of Chattanooga, but other exceptional ones. Just like most places. Living here is nice, you have the benefits of a tourist town all the time. 4 seasons but a short winter, and a quick drive to major cities like Atlanta and Nashville.

Smile Your Welcome.

Thanks for the update. Yes we do have a surplus of trees here in the region. I must have 12 different types just in front yard.
.. Friday nights are big for the downtown Sunset Series, music /Bike NIght. Been here 2 years and still not made the Signal mtn music, jealous. I would not go into the south end of city after 12 midnight looking for music.
. Thanks again, yes very clean waterfront why we re-locate , and recently won the Volkswagon mfg facility.
....

Yay! I love it when people get excited about visiting here - remember that was me not to long ago. The city is safe, but you can't totally let your guard down. Certain routes can get trafficky, but it is nothing like SoCal traffic
