Are there any nice areas on the south side of Chattanooga? We are relocating there in the next few weeks and we have family toward Nashville so would like to be on that side of town. We are thinking of renting until we get to know the area better. Any ideas? Condo's for rent? Nice apartment homes? We are older (well not that old) but want a quiet area. Thanks in advance for your help.

Southside is a thriving area. It also can be a little dangerous at night except right at the block of restaurants etc. PM me if you want more info as there are certain things that I can't post, but, will be happy to try to guide you. I believe that there are better choices of areas for you.

I am going to assume you mean any area south of Chattanooga so...
Lookout Valley is a decent area. Just minutes out of town and well on the way to Nashville. I don't know about any apartments or condos BUT it's a nice quiet area and should be relatively cheap. Warning though! There are quite a few backups heading in and out of town on 24W so you'd better learn the backroads
Marina, I am curious about THE "Southside" care to PM me too? We hang out there alot for parades and other things so I'd like to hear a bit more. Thanks
