Default More info.

I tried finding some information on these towns but what i found was either inadequate or i could not find anything, can yall help? Just a normal run down of each town if possible you know

crime
shopping
things to do
how big is the town
how close to larger town with shopping

Gruetli-laager
Dunlap
Soddy Daisy
Benton
Livingston
Spencer
Fairfield Glade

A little about me, i am married with 2 kids ages 2 and newborn i am attending college right now will be done next year with a degree in computer information technology,I want somewhere Rural yet with shopping close by and things to do for my kids. I love mountains and would love to live near them although its not a requirement.Plan on homeschooling our kids so schools are no big deal. Want or need to know anything else just ask me hopefully that can eliminate some of these towns for me.Also we are planning on eventually buying a home and do not want an area where the average home cost over 250k

Default White upper left link .

E.M .: WELCOME, there is quite of info LINKs around here if one CLICKs on the upper left corner WHITE City-Data,com logo. Just enter more town names. City of Soddy-Daisy can really help with the Soddy info.l
Yes scenery is great near the plateau. Many hike trails being built. Good fishing, bike trails , history.
Housing quite good at the $ 125k level. Dunlap ,quite rural, out on Rt # 111 flat farming valley , recent lost the only larger employer with Techsumah small engine plant.
.. Again just SEARCH the main web browser site with your desired town name.
.. ....... ..

I am thinking your best bet would be Soddy Daisy because...

15-25 minutes to a larger city center (Chattanooga) for jobs. Of the selections on your list this one is possibly the most convenient for accessing a larger town.

Has most amenities a family would need. Shopping is very handy. Hospitals are nearby. Great community activites and involvement. Good schools if you change your mind.

Soddy Daisy is located between the mountains and the TN river so it's your pick for outdoor fun!

Housing is fair priced and it is not overcrowded.

Crime is relatively low. There are some issues with meth when you get further out in the county.

I wish I could help you more on the other cities but it would be mostly hear-say so I won't go there You can find more hard facts on the cities you are looking at on the City-Data main page.

Great advice. I had previously mentioned the city-data main page as well on another post so you're right on the money. Here is the link. Note that at the top of the page you have to select town/city size in order to find ALL of the City-Data city listings for Tennessee.
