My wife watches this show all the time and when she said it was featuring Chattanooga, well, I had to watch with her. Wish so bad we were the ones down there bidding on houses . Maybe April.

That guy is my mock trial team leader; so weird... I hear at school today that he was on TLC, then come on here and see him again!

I saw it last week on tv. Cute couple. Imagine having to pick and buy a house in one weekend! EEEKS! Amazing but they pulled it off. Good luck to you all.

My wife and I watched the rerun this past weekend. Got to see the sights again and got to see so much more of the suburbs towns Brainerd and Ootwalah - sp?, North Chattanooga. Beautiful, beautiful area. My wife and I almost made a big mistake 15 years ago, buying our 2nd home on a similiar weekend house hunt. We picked in an area that was nice, but after our offer was refused and we didn't budge upward. We rented for 6 months, and found a home with everything we were looking for in an area our real estate agent didn't even know about.
The couple was adorable. She was so positive, "I love it, ... in just about every home they went into. I agreed with their home selection, if fit their "today" lifestyle with wanting to be active and still go out with their friends downtown, but wasn't the home they chose the one where the neighbors house was right on top of them in their backyard? I saw so many homes on that show, they kind of run together.
If I had to relocate for my job and were buying a home today, I would do what Tridad and Beachbyrd did, and rent first before buying. Take long weekend drives and really look at areas. There is something for everybody. You might take less or an older home, if it is in a great school district. You might want a larger yard for kids and dogs if you have a family. So many choices out there and everyone has different needs.
