Default Any signs of spring down there?

Ok, I scraped off my driveway after church of snow so my little guy and I could play some basketball. We could only go so long until our hands froze off. Are there any signs of spring down there yet? Budding of trees, anything?
If not, when do you guys typically see the change from winter to spring?

I'm in Nashville, but have daffodils blooming, crocus coming up, winter jasmine in full bloom, lenton rose and the willows are budding. So yep, keep your tundra and come on down!

I agree, some of the trees are starting to flower as well. Don't know what they're called, but white flowering trees in a lot of medians along the highway and puple buds esp. toward Dalton.

Question Wed the 25th.?

F.T. : I think tomorrow should be your day around Chattanooga. Maybe low 60's temps. Yes Ground Daffodils are up and some yellow in bloom, but only 40's last few days.
.. Heard the is a new supply of Cherry trees in bud in the city .? NOt sure of full story. When you get here, one will really enjoy many types of trees , bushes in Hamilton county . Every week or 10 days another group has its bloom run. I saw one early Scarlett Red QUINCE bush that already was out last weekend. Early WHITE trees are the non-fruit Pear ,(Bradford & Cleveland). Some of the fruit trees , cherry then white or pink Dogwood.
... One of the most colorful,Dark PInk, REDBUD trees maybe mid April.

I've seen daffodils & a few other plants blooming. There have also been quite a few days I've felt like wearing a T shirt! I'm sure we'll get another frost but it seems we're moving along into spring.

Hey frozen tundra, I'm from MI hoping like heck to move to East TN this year. Probably like you in WI, the words "any signs of spring" doesn't even have meaning here until maybe late April or early May. Then again, we do occasionally get May snow. I had to plow our driveway YET AGAIN yesterday. Some weeks I go through more gas in the snowblower than my car, seriously.

How glourious! You guys rock in the spring! I was down there last year, there was a strange noise, I realized it was the sounds of birds chirping. One more winter and Lord willing spring of 2010. We may be down for a visit this spring...but very dangerous-may have to leave the Mrs behind as she might refuse to go back to the rust belt!

Even a little spring in my step today as I walked outside. The daffodils will probably get frostbit. The forsythia, or yellow bush as I call it, I hope holds off on blooming for a little while.

beachbyrd will become famous soon enoughbeachbyrd will become famous soon enough
I am seeing some of the trees budding along with the flowers others have mentioned. I am so excited that winter is almost on its way out! 10 day forecast looks like we might go below 32 a couple of nights, but anywhere from mid-40's to high-60's during the day.

I am ready for Spring! Can't wait to air out the house and take our daughter to the park more. We did go a week or so ago, and she is anxious to play outside more often again.
