Now, don't forget to head across the river to the North Shore and check out Coolidge Park and some cool shopping and original eateries! There's a nice park area where you all can eat lunch! I am ok w/the Pluto situation as I don't want Walt and his hitmen showing up at my house

today we visited downtown. What a great place! Met some friendly people at the Visitors Center, then walked across Walnut St Bridge over to Coolidge Park which is great for kids of all ages! The fountain wasn't on (guess it was to early), but we peaked inside the carousel house, and walked over to the row of stores nearby. Went into the kids toy store, and had a ball. Walked back over the bridge...loved the view of the museum! We had lunch at Big City Grill, and then took CARTA around town for a mini tour. Stopped at the Chattanooga Choo Choo for a couple pictures. Here's one of me:

yes! we are really getting into the town here. Visited Red Bank, Hixson, and Soddy Daisy to get a feel for neighborhoods. Had a recommendation from a friend for a good church in the area, and ended meeting a lot of nice people. A number of them actually came from Ft Lauderdale (our area)

OMIGOD, what a small world! You actually ran into people from Florida in Tennessee? What gave them away? Were they skipping around with their TN homeowners insurance bill?

(only teasing, like the pic)

there seems to have been a mass exodus of staff from Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale to Calvary Chapel Chattanooga...it was quite funny. And they all seemed very happy about being here in TN.
