Waterfront community and good schools? (Chattanooga, Lakesite: apartment complex, homes, neighborhoods)

My family and I are relocating to the Chattanooga area in summer '10. I'm so excited to be moving to such a great area. It's our dream to live on the waterfront, but we're not quite there yet financially, so we'll settle for living in a waterfront community for now. Any recommendations for a great waterfront community that is also in a good elementary school district?? We love wakeboarding and jet skiing and a community pool would be a huge bonus. Thanks a bunch for any insights!!!

Good schools up in Lakesite

Also, there is another apartment complex right on the Tennessee River with some close marinas. The elementary school for that area should be Big Ridge Elementary which is very good too

Lakesite is a great idea with the boat ramp and marina so close by!

Also what about Big Ridge? Hidden Harbor, Colonial Shores and Gold Point (all 3 are pretty close to Chester Frost which is a local beach/boat ramp/fishing area). These neighborhoods are in a nice middle class area as well as having some high dollar homes. Pretty much anywhere on Big Ridge will be nice for a family.

Thanks for the suggestions! We'll be visiting again in August and definitely take a look around all the areas suggested.
