Default Pool at Mtn Shadows

We also live in Mtn Shadows along with u4icmusic and so far we all seem to agree its a great place. Just opened up the pool today with a catered bbq from Bones. Water was a bit chilly which will warm up with the weather. We have an active Board that is actively keeping the neighborhood a great place to live.

There are deals to be had here as I have seen a few distressed sales on the market.

LOL^

Chattanooga, with its mountainous backdrop, is a difficult city to get around (for moderate sized cities). Signal mountain, Lookout mountain, Missionary Ridge, the "Ridgecut", etc etc. Mountains, hills everywhere. Also, trucks clog the interstates crawling (and I mean crawling) up all the mountains.

If one lived on Signal and needed to go to Hamilton Place, this could easily take 30 minutes (depending on time of day).

Now, Chattanooga is beautiful city - just remember to drive safely and be patient.

Having moved here from South Florida, I see little to no traffic here, even at peak times, unless of course there is a vehicle accident.

Signal is more like 20-25 minutes from the GA border, whether you go I-24/75 or TN 153/I-75. It's about 20 miles from the town center. The new high school in Signal has been open for a year now, and it's obviously very good (although there was a huge fight between Signal and McCallie students last month). Signal is definitely removed from the action, if you like that, and as such, it really is its own community. My wife wanted a bit more variety and we chose the E. Brainerd area which is zoned for Westview and the new East Hamilton H.S.. I'd say the commute to downtown from both areas is about the same, although you'll see more traffic from E. Brainerd. It's where the mall is and the main Interstate (75) through the metro area. Of course, you have every restaurant you can imagine in E. Brainerd... but not so much on the north side. Downtown has the finer dining establishments.
nah i don't even do 10 over ever really, i just know how to navigate my way through the traffic and yeah its like 5 min running about 45 or 50 from signal to downtown and believe it or not you can get from shallowford road right beside hamilton place go down 75 to 24 then to 27 and get off at the signal mtn. rd exit and be on your way up the side of the mountain in under 12 minutes

um no, all of ya'll must not know how to drive, because i can get from the top of the mountain to the bottom in like 2 min, most of the time you can go down signal mtn rd in 1 min cuz i usually don't catch any light,s then you hop on the interstate or go through the tunnels and bam you see downtown then your there. and i live at the very front of the mtn. and cell phones think that your in marion county, at my house they always go back an hour, because if you go down suck creek road it follow the foot of this mountain then your in marion county just like that, and sequatchie county is about six miles down the road, and if you want to get to georgia quick go down rossville blvd, or follow the ridge south, also you can take hwy 11 from lookout valley and be in georgia quick and end up in alabama in like 15 minutes all back roads see no helicopter necessary, just gotta know your way around.

man everyday the interstate is jammed no matter what you must not get out much cuz its been like this for years florida doesn't have traffic. the only traffic in florida is people going to florida is down there by itself, tennessee is surrounded by 8 states and its right in middle of the us kind of so there is a tons of traffic coming though here half the people on the interstate have out of state tags but yeah back to my main point get out more.

Honestly, I've spent a GREAT amount of time in Chattanooga, Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, Mobile, Daytona, Asheville, and the Tri_Cities (JC is my hometown) and in all honesty, the traffic is no worse in any of these cities than it is in any of the places i'v been IF you know how to drive. But as I've seen from my travels, people that actually know how to drive are very, very rare these days. The only really bad "traffic" I've seen was in Atlanta.

I'm aware of all those routes and none of the roads you mentioned are back roads, actually they're main roads.

You must fly, not literally this time.

That's interesting about the cell phones.

No, it's not. Besides, if it was jammed everyday, then there's definitely no way in heck you make it from Signal to downtown in 5 minutes taking 27.
