Apartments in downtown
I am moving from Lincoln Park in Chicago to Chattanooga for graduate school and am looking for an apartment/condo to rent in the north downtown area. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about any rentals between UTC and market street. I really like that area because it reminds me of a small LP. I would like to stay north of 8th street close to the river. Also does anyone know anything about the Pinnacle building? I would like to keep my rent below 1000.
thanks

I cannot provide a number or link, but saw a few townhouse rentals and for sale signs in the area west of campus, east of Georgia Ave and yes north of Market, specifically on Lindsay St. The cars were mostly luxury though, so not sure about 1000.00 month.

423-648-2367 is a number to some apartments on at 4th and High St I saw advertised today. The building says Robert E Lee on it. I have no interest in this apartment nor know the renter, just thought I'd pass the number along.
Pinnacle is in Hixson area, not downtown.

They don't have much info online, but I know that Greyhaven Realty rents several places in the areas you mentioned. A couple of friends of mine got an apartment right next to UTCs campus for $450/month, so at least some of their buildings are easily within your price range!

My friends' apartment was obviously meant to be a 1 bedroom, but they fit two people pretty comfortably. It has one bedroom, 1 'studio' (small second bedroom), bath, kitchen, a pretty large living room, and a sortof half room/foyer that obviously used to be a hall before they split the building into apartments. So that's $225/month to each of them.

I was just there in Chattanooga last week looking for something similar. Try to get the Chattanooga Apartment Guide publication, this has been incredibly helpful! Look at Riverset, Louise Terrace, The Overlook, Hardwick Hogshead, and The Robinson. These are all downtown apartments. Hope something works out for you! :-)
