At this point you will find very little in terms of traditional German foods, but this may change as an enterprising person or people realize the market. In the meantime, there is a shop called Eurpean Market on Gunbarrel by the mall which may have a few things you are looking for. There are also some butcher shops, I know there is one in Hixson, where you might get specific cuts of meat. However in term of restaurants . . . no zwiebelkuchen or federweiser just yet.

das - didn't that European Market close? Last time I was over by Hamilton Place I thought it was vacant. I don't go over that way much though (maybe they moved?)

hmm maybe so. I guess I noticed it last time I drove by from the signs and awnings but didn't look to see if it was actually in business or not.

NO NO say it isn't so! Ah I will have to get by there this weekend to confirm...
So much for Rollschinken! Crap! My little Kleiner will have to make due with black forest huh?
Looks like you might be stuck with the German cashier @ the East Ridge Food Lion
They do have a few German goods @ World Market in East Brainerd...

My husband is German, and we buy our bread from Niedlov's Bakery on Main St. They have a Farmer's Rye that is very similar to Bauernbrot.
