What Makes a City Great? A few years back NPR did a series on great cities around the world. London, Amsterdam, Paris, & Chicago maded the list along with a surprising smaller "city". That's right...Chattanooga landed on the top list as well...
Listen to the report, and hear for yourself. |

I'm going to setup some phone lines through Vonage and saw the only towns available with a 423 area code are
Bloomingdale, Blountville, Bulls Gap Elizabethton, Gray, Madisonville Midway (Sullivan), Morristown, New Hope Oak Grove, Orme, Powells Crossroads South Pittsburg, Whitwell CSR told me that Morristown is in Chattanooga and would have a Chatt pre-fix. Can anyone confirm this???? (I can't find anything on the map) |

Lord, isn't Morristown near Knoxville? I am thinking 50+- miles NE of K-town. Maybe I misunderstood the question...

that's what I though too! I was told it's a suburb of Chattanooga with 423 area code. I couldn't find any of those towns nearby.
I guess my question should be: what are the typical prefixes that indicate a Chattanooga telephone number? I want to have a number show up on the caller ID that everyone will recognize as a Chattanooga # |

Let's see for Red Bank (if I remember your location correctly) you will have 877 876 875 874 870 and Split has you covered for most of the rest. As we are growing there are some new ones tossed in but those I mentioned indicate Red Bank/Hixson as well as Chattanooga.
