You might want to check out Ootlewah and Collegedale both are small towns/cities just outside of Chattanooga and still in Hamilton County. Another possible (especially if you're looking for acreage too) is to check out McDonald which is just across the Hamilton County line in Bradley County..All three areas are really nice areas low crime rates and middle class sections (although both Collegedale and Ootlewah both have their pricey sections of town).
