Default Moving to Chatt. area

My daughter is planning to move this summer to the Chattanooga area. We were looking in the hamilton area and will actually visit there this Saturday. We need something (apt) reasonably priced and SAFE. This will be her first time to move out. Would love to hear suggestions before we travel. Thanks.

My husband and I rented a 1-BR at Northtowne Village Apts in Hixson. It is very safe. Just a thought.

Default Signal Mountain Apt.

My fiance & I have lived in the Trails of Signal Mountain for almost 2 years now. The maintenance crew is fantastic, and we're in a great area for both access in & out of the city. Safety is unparalleled. We feel safe at all times. Swimming pool, fitness room, friendly staff. Love it here. Address: 3535 Mountain Creek Road, Chattanooga, TN (a few blocks from Red Bank High School & Red Bank Elementary less than a mile away) Take a look.--Not one of the dirty complexes. Clean & well-maintained.

The Hamilton Place area? If so apartments will run her from the low $500's to the high $700's per month for a 1 bedroom. And the area is safe. I live in the area and there have been nights where I have left my door unlocked.

Also she needs to be ready for an emissions inspection and if she resides inside the City of Chatt(which Hamilton Place is in the city), there's an extra $5 fee for a "city sticker" to go on her license plate. If she takes public transportation she's exempt from this

Smile Different Areas of Chattanooga

I have just recently discovered Chattanooga, but I know nothing about it. I was born and raised in Nashville, but don't want to go back there. Saw recent information about how Chattanooga has done major improvement and want to check it out, but apparently there are areas that one should avoid and other areas that would be good for retirement. Any help would be appreciated.
