Can anyone tell me what the best neighborhoods in Chattanooga are? I have heard that Harrison, East Brainerd, and Ryall Springs are good, but I was wanting input from some people that actually live in the city.

You're talking about areas, not necessarily neighborhoods, right? "Best" is so subjective... and depends on what you're looking for. BTW: I never hear anyone actually say "Ryall Springs" (I know, it shows up on my GPS, and it's on all the maps of Chattanooga). But it's considered to be a part of East Brainerd. East Brainerd is the area that runs along E.B. Road from I-75, east to about 1 mile past the Ooltewah-Ringgold intersection. Then it becomes Apison, which is also a newer (more rural), but comparable area to EB. Sometimes the mall area (which is usually specifically called Hamilton Place area) is also considered as East Brainerd. Of course, the residential parts east of Hamilton Place are considered to be E.B.

Anyway, I think you'll find that Harrison and EB are quite different. Harrison is oriented to the lake and E.B. is oriented to (what?) a lot of independent neighborhoods. If you want to know about specific neighborhoods, there is a fairly recent thread on "best areas", in the Chattanooga forum. I think you'll find lots of neighborhoods mentioned... I know I brought up several (so you can link through my profile/posts to find them). Good luck.
