And again in the REAL world sales plummeted that very same month. January. And NONE of the sales numbers have met GMs ever decreasing projections. Nice try though at cherry picking articles.. lol

The Real World - aka, California, where you can drive a Volt in the carpool lane...

From the article... "Regardless of the good news, Libby said, it still bears remembering that sales of the Volt, which is now the best-selling plug-in car in America, are still miniscule compared to most other cars. In 2012, Chevrolet dealers sold almost exactly 10 times as many of the Chevrolet Cruze, the gasoline powered car on which the Volt is based."

Nope, you're a liar.

January 2012 sales = 603
January 2013 sales = 1140

Everybody with half a brain knows that car sales are seasonal and the only realistic comparison is done by comparing the same month and the same quarter year over year.

Not to mention the fact that the surge in Volt sales was based on California giving Volt owners the right to drive in carpool lanes, AND a temporary low lease rate on Volts, that will come back to bite the consumers in the collective ass.

Even so, it's good that there are people who are willing to pay exorbitant amounts of money to drive hybrid/electric cars. Hopefully this will propel the technology to the point where it actually makes fiscal sense to buy these cars.

I doubt the diesel Cruze will make it to the states. Subaru have tried but failed to make it to the states.

So if you were running a christmas tree lot and your consecutive sales in January were down 100% from December what would you do about it?

The fact remains that you are a liar and Chevy Volt sales in January 2013 nearly doubled.

DailyTech - January Chevrolet Volt Sales Plunge
Chevy Volt sales drop to 1,140 in January, Nissan Leaf also falls, to 650
http://www.nydailynews.com/autos/plu...icle-1.1254764

Volt sales Dec 12 2633
Volt sales Jan 13 1140
And what do Christmas trees have to do with autos? I see where your logic originates..

Uggg. Really? You must have some kind of terrible brain injury..or maybe its that west LA crack. sales were down 57% january 13 compared to THE PREVIOUS MONTH OF DEC 12.. you should go back to grade school to learn how calendars work Jan 13 DOES NOT follow Jan 12... Stop smoking crack in sketchy west LA neighborhoods to avoid REALITY.
