I am driving my second Avalanche 2007/2013 and love everything about it except for one nagging problem.I replaced daytime running lights on my 2007 4 times......each time at $100+ due to the fact that the BUMPER must be removed to change the bulb.
So I trade for a 2013 and the same thing is happening and I'm realizing that it is a design error because I am always seeing Avalanches and Silverado's with one light out.
Last time I went for service both lights were out and I said "screw it" don't even bother.
Chevy should step up and do a recall......wonder how many people have been as stupid as me and paid $100 for a light bulb?

That interesting. I've been quasi interested in a Chevy Avalanche, so it's good to know the negatives along with the positives to get a better perspective of what I'd be dealing with. I have daytime running lights on my Accord. I've been driving the thing for a little over five years now, and haven't really been in any situations where I said I was glad I had daytime running lights. I tend to manually turn my head lights on if I run through a rain storm. So as long as the main headlights work, right?
