I've seen like one on the street, no marketing at all except on the web and most geeks can't afford $46k V8.

meh, I still don't like the styling and it's one of the least exciting sedans. I would rather save for a Camaro 2SS or ZL1. At least the Pontiac G8gxp was somewhat attractive. Looks are highly subjective...

It looks much better in person than it does in pictures IMO. I like the sleeper aspect of it. It's a blast to drive besides.

The ZL1 is tempting, though. I still have little kids though so 4 doors it is.

It's actually kind of small. Smaller than a Camry although the rear end looks like one and the front end too much Cruze and Malibu look. Twin tailpipes don't mean anything but looks. A lot of cars like Kias have it.

What it needs is more luxury appeal to go head to head against BMW and Lexus. Very few people would pay $46k for a Chevy unless it's a truck.

22 MPG Highway? 5 to 7 MPG Less than the Corvette? No wonder it didn't move.

Yeah, it's just really tough to swallow sub-Suburban fuel economy. I mean, no one buys something like a SS for great fuel economy but sub-Suburban fuel economy? Really the only people who are going to buy an SS are going to daily drive it or they'd just buy a Camaro for the weekends. Better engine, better chassis, doesn't look like a rental car. Maybe on something like a Mustang GT350 which isn't going to do a lot of boring going to work, picking the kids up from school, running to the grocery store type duty it's easier to swallow.

Meanwhile you can get a 340i/xi which gets around 30 mpg, looks better, has the all important badge. It even sounds pretty good albeit it has to cheat and use the speakers. Mileage aside, I'd rather have the SS. I couldn't hack 14/22 though.

Funny, I had a Suburban for a loaner for about a week last year and said to myself "wow, this thing is really good on gas!" lol

You know how when you fill up your car the needle stays on F for a while? That doesn't happen with the SS.

My neighborhood is chock full of European luxury cars. I don't really care about the badge. Hell, I'll probably badge it as a Holden. Then nobody will know what it is.

I'd love a GT350 or a ZL1 but like I said I have 2 little kids so sedan it is for now. I'll keep this until my son can drive in 9 years and then give it to him.

Sure, the list price is high but at $39k this is a bargain. Save the manuals!

Good luck finding a manual......the dealers only ordered them if the customer did.
