2003 Malibu rusted power steering line

I have a bad power steering leak and learned that a power steering line is rusted out. Got an estimate of 380 to fix. The bottom of the car does have a lot of rust and my concern is that it will rust out again. I need to make a decision whether to junk the car or not. The car runs well has newer tires, brakes. It does burn about a quart of oil every few months, but it has been for over a year and doesn't seem to be getting worse.
