I rented an Aveo years ago, back when it was called a Daewoo. Had the same problems with the key dis/engagement. Apparantly, American ownership hasn't made any strides in improvement.
That depends on the car you buy. If you buy real Chevys instead of Korean cars with a Chevy emblem, then you should be okay.
I am sorry you got a lemon, but just because you had one bad experience with a car, you can't say EVERY American manufacture is bad, garbage, etc. Plus, like others said, the Aveo is a KOREAN car. Should I say Hyundai and Kia are also garbage? Perhaps some models 15 years ago, but, like the Americans, they have come a long way in quality, reliability, etc.
