Vauxhall Calibra Mk2: news of the 2013 successor | Automotive & Motoring News | Car Magazine Online

The link below is a review of the four door car the above is based upon
Vauxhall Insignia VXR (2009) UK CAR review | Road Testing Reviews | Car Magazine Online
2.8L turbo charged V6 at 321 hp and 321 torque, 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, and a top speed of 170mph for an all wheel drive sedan. Change the nose styling a bit and offer up this coupe as a Buick Regal Grand National or GS. Problem I see though is the limited number of people willing to purchase a two door car in todays market. If Buick gets the nose styling right, do you think this midlevel luxuary coupe could entice the people who would buy an Altima coupe, Accord coupe, Infiniti coupe, or one I can't think of at the moment?

Regal GS | Future Vehicles, Future Cars, Concept Cars | Buick
This is the proposed Buick 4 door version of the above car. At least it gives you a look at the nose styling. Difference is this car is the same 2.0L turbo as the upper Buick Regal but with a higher boost to create 255 hp, 295 torque, and a 0-60 in less than 6 seconds (seems pretty close to the numbers for the 2.8L turbo V-6). I have to wonder if boosting the pressure like that will create problems down the road. With a 2.8L V-6 turbo, it seems they wouldn't have to increase the boost pressure as much to get the same numbers. Perhaps it's in the interest of fuel economy. Don't know.

Buick, if not Caddy. Links on the first post don't work for me. Is it RWD? If so, it kinda looks like good competition for the G37.

Personal opinion, tone done the snake fangs in Buick form. Side profile is fine. Nose is good except for the fangs. A 2.8L V-6 turbo would probably provide better reliability than increasing boost pressure on the 2.0L 4 turbo. Like the suspension tuning choice options. You can dial in the suspension choice between Normal, Sport, and GS. These three choices not only change the suspension, it also changes the throttle response, shift settings, and steering feel.

We're going to be getting the Opel Insignia over as a Buick Regal, so it would make sense for this to become the Regal coupe. Cadillac is already going to have a RWD CTS coupe, so no way this is going to be a Caddy. This platform is FWD/AWD, so it's going to fill an interesting niche between the Accord and Altima coupes, and the 3-series and G37 coupes.

British cars are notoriously unreliable. I could definitely consider it a Chevy or Buick! They are definitely looking over the wrong ocean if they want to improve their reliability record!
