Default Best train/bus from Lake Forest(UPN) to Wrigley

I'm looking for the best route that would avoid going all the way to Ogilvie. Is there an easy route to the red-line if I get off in Rogers Park, or Ravenswood? Thank you.

If its a night game: off at central in Evanston, board the purple line south, and take it to addison.

Day game: bit trickier - Get off at ravenswood, two blocks west/ one block south to damen stop on brown line, take that train line to Southport, walk a couple blocks north and a couple blocks east to wrigley.

There is NO time savings when you factor in the wait times on multiple routes. Really the whole transit system in the region (including CTA buss & El. as well as Metra heavy rail) is strongly biased toward a hub mindset and point-to-point travel pretty much is an afterthought. Take the fastest express train you care to, hoof over to a CTA stop, kill time in a local establishment or watch the players take batting practice. Beats fighting the schedules of competing traffic flows...

No. This is WAYYYY Off.

That is about a 5 block walk from Southport to Wrigley Field.

The Purple Line does not stop at Addison for Cubs night games (it stops at Sheridan.) Get off the Metra at Davis in Evanston and switch to the Purple Line there. Get off the Purple Line at Sheridan after switching trains and walk 2 blocks or so south to the park.

Purple Line Cubs Service

For day games get off the Metra at Ravenswood. Walk 2 blocks or so to Clark and take the Clark bus south to the park. (This
can be done for night games as well.)
