Default Best suburbs between lombard and city
My boyfriend and I are moving to Chicago in July. We will be working in Lombard We wouldn't like a long commute (over 30 minutes), however we are in our twenties and still would like to enjoy the city lifestyle. Can anyone suggest relatively safe suburbs between the city and Lombard? Thanks so much!

Cinema is on a distinguished road
Oak Park sounds like a nice choice. You can get to Lombard in under 30 minutes, and depending on your mode of transportation, can be in the city in about 15, 20 minutes. Oak Park is a nice family-oriented community, but also has lots of singles, great roomy apartments. Lots of stores, restaurants, art galleries, etc. within walking distance.

Oak Brook is nice, but kind of expensive and isn't as close to the city as Oak Park.
