Default what do do in Geneva?

My girlfriend and I are going to see the Kane County Cougars play on July 4th at 6pm. We decided to make a day of it, and spend the day in Geneva. I've heard good things about the downtown area, but was just wondering if there are any suggestions as far as things to see, places to go, a good park to have a picnic, etc.

Thanks!

Go along route 38 directly west of the kane county cougars stadium and you will find all kinds of cool shops, restaurants and such. Third street through the downtown is the biggest shopping area, if you go south on third from 38 you will find those shops.
There is also the geneva commons mall farther west on Randall road if you are into chain store shopping.
I cannot advise as to names of parks.
Although there is an area to walk and ride bikes along the river by Mill race inn (good food but $$) which is on the corner of route 25 and route 38.
