If you like Harleys and Camaros (as I do), you'll love Midlothian.

Default Its excellent if.............

If your single and want to buy a home with a huge lot, and have lots of privacy, and little or no noise......and dont want to pay a lot.

The area u want to look into is 14300 S Pulaski to 15100 s Pulaski and all points west up to 14300 S Cicero to 15900 S Cicero

I consider that to be the golden zone, good prices, good area, good schools, and u border Oak Forest where I live,

There is a nice home for sale at 15539 S Leclaire, in Oak Forest, I dont know how much, but i do know, a lot of work was done to it, last year, and has a huge lot, with open space, a garage, new vinyl siding, and I live two doors down from it, in the last year, midlo and Oak Forest are having a building boom, one day an empty lot, next day, a new huge brick mini mansion is there,

Midlo in certain parts, have mostly wood frame homes, short in height but wide, and most sit on huge lots, I mean huge lots,

Midlothian does have some real bad parts, and they are east of pulaski, 14000 to 14900,

The center of town is 14700 S Pulaski, and its an ok area, little shops, and a great metra commuter rail station, it has direct access to the cook county forest preserve bike trail system,,

Its a residental town, no major stores, or industry, but u dont have to drive very far west, for food and stuff, drive a little further west, and you have one of the biggest indoor malls around, and golfing and other good stuff,

The more u go east into the town the worse it gets, except in a few spots, the next town east is posen, a lower cost version of midlothian, and then it really gets lousy...............

If u have kids, and cant afford Catholic School, then u should make plans to sell a body organ, to afford catholic school

crime is non violent but pretty frequent, the closer to kedzie u are the worse u get

The good parts I mentioned above, flood here and there, when it rains a lot, and I mean a lot, no alleys, streets are in good shape, tons tons of trees, huge backyards, the buiding potential is tremendous, Cops are brutal, but effective, brutal meaning, dont speed and I mean dont speed Theyre Good

Lots of critters, the southeastern corner of the town, is owned by franciscian monks, Cook County Forest Preserve District, and Cook County Hospital, the area they own is huge, and heavily wooded, and the excess land, cant be sold or destroyed by developers.......

If your married and dont have kids then its a great place for you to live and start a home,,,,,,,,,,,,It is minutes from Midway Airport but so far you dont hear or see the planes, You are twenty minutes from Sox Park with no traffic on I 57, Train to downtown chicago, is the Rock Island line, Joliet to Downtown Chicago, very cheap very reliable, very good.......

Hope this helps, PM me with any other questions you might have

it's pretty much gone to poop lately. Lots of trashy people...sadly. It used to be a good town long ago...you could do worse though just not much worse.
