Not Crystal Lake. Its really only a few miles from the Kane-McHenry line, that same line that Lake-Cook is on. Take a look at a map.
Its easy for people to think that any communities in Chicagoland that are on a lake are only a couple miles from Wisconsin, but that is not really true.
Now other lake towns like Fox Lake, Lak Villa, I suppose even Grayslake, I could understand people saying they are very close to Wisconsin, because they are. But others like Lake Zurich, Crystal Lake, even Diamond Lake or Island Lake are really closer to Cook county than the state line.

That's fine and dandy, but when you can get to Wisconsin in around 30 minutes from your town without taking the tollway, you just might pretty much be a few miles from Wisconsin.
