Default metra from Barrington to Lincolnwood, Chicago?

I am starting a new job at GE Healthcare in Barrington, IL and am currently living in Lincolnwood, IL on Dempster ave & Lincoln ave.
Does anyone who perhaps work for GE knows if there is a shuttle bus that would take me to the metra train station? I will start for the company soon but would hate to fight the traffic after work around 4pm on I90E. thanks for any info.

I don't think there's a bus unless GE runs its own shuttle. The only bus that goes to the Barrington Metra station is this one: Pace Bus - Route 557 - The Hot Line - Barrington Road Corridor.

then I think GE has its own shuttle for the employee (according to the staffs I spoke with last time).
I know that the traffic to Barrington from Lincolnwood is about 30 min driving around 7am in the morning; but what is it like around 4pm when I have to drive the opposite direction? Will there be traffic a long wait on the I90 W? The reason I'm asking is because I need to get back home around 5pm, and would like to know whether driving or taking the metra would be a better choice within that time frame. Thanks for the info btw.

I don't know how the commute is on I-90, but taking the Metra isn't going to get you to Lincolnwood by 5pm. The train leaving closest to 4pm leaves at 4:33. You'll be in Des Plaines at 5pm. However, you could get off there and drive or take a bus home and that way you'll avoid I-90.

30 minutes?
it would take you 15 minutes just to get to I-90.
You might consider Lake Cook to I-94 then south. Still nowhere near 30 minutes by car.

I drive Skokie to Lake Zurich at 2AM and it takes 45 minutes however you go. Barrington to Lincolnwood is a bit longer. Google estimates it a 50 mins, and they are always best case, I've found.

Not sure about the situation up in Barrington, but as far as reaching the Barrington Metra station, you could perhaps drive a few miles west to Park Ridge (from Lincolnwood), park there somewhere, and ride the Union Pacific Northwest line Metra train northwest bound, and reach downtown Barrington that way. From Barrington, hopefully there's some kind of shuttle service, or you could perhaps cab it to your office at GE. Good luck!
