I totally agree with you. Thanks for putting my thoughts into words! I would take the little stints anyday and you are right, we do get the refreshing cool breaks. More evidence that my convictions of moving are valid for me! LOL

Default One more thing

I think we should all tip our hats to those who are going to be out keeping us safe tonight in tonight's storm that on the south side has apparently already started. Hats off to IDOT, CDOT, Streets and San., local village plow drivers, ILL State Police, local law enforcement, firefighters who have to go out and put out fires getting soaked to the bone from spraying water in 15 degree weather, and EMS who have to drive the ambulances at high speeds on iced over roads.

Keep up the great work!

Heck yeah! IDOT has been incredible this year, I give them big KUDOS for the outstanding job theyve done so far. There hasnt been on single snowstorm this year that they werent on top of. I drive through my neighborhood in Warrenville on decently-slick roads and once I hit the highway, its as dry as a bone and extremely well-plowed. The cities have also been doing a fantastic job of keeping the streets clear, I tip my hat my hat to them, too.

I was born and raised in Chicago and I found a simple solution to their winters. I moved to Houston.
