Default Another thing to consider...

Hi, forget to tell you. Southern WI like Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie are options for a close enough commute BUT the

*WI income tax is 7%
*IL income tax is 3%

There are other definite tax advantages to staying in Illinois. A chain tax accountant can better advise you on the differences, but I took the tax school offered by H & R Block last year and it cured me from wanting to relocate to WI to be closer to my husbands work, or for any other reason for that matter.

Something a Realtor, Relocation Expert, friend/acquaintance/coworker may not tell you.

I just moved here to Mchenry County, it's not so bad I moved here with my kids and my husband, my sister her kids and her husband the schools are wonderful, I just moved here from elgin IL. the section 8 in Mchenry county has a short waiting list. My experience with the area is great so far, I've been here for almost a year now the kids love it, the schools are great I think it would be great if more minority families moved in there's about 4 other minority families on my block, 2 are hispanic, 1 is black and there is a young interracial couple about two blocks down. everyone i've met so far is very friendly. It's very inexpensive here, it's deffinately worth a try for anyone considering re-locating.
