My wife and I are moving this year and really want to move to Frankfort, mainly because of the school district. We found a few homes that we are interested in but they are in Frankfort Square, not Frankfort so we are considering moving there instead. The main reason is because of the closer proximity to I80. I have checked greatschools.org and schools.chicagotribune.com and the schools seem excellent. I just wanted to hear from Frankfort residents about their opinions of Frankfort Square. Is Frankfort Square a completely different suburb with their own police station and post office? Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Frankfort is served by at least four different districts. While none of them especially dysfunctional neither do they strike me as exceptional: http://iirc.niu.edu/SearchResult.aspx?type=CITY&searchText=$FRANKFORT$

Pretty sure you will need to research the trade-offs that come with unincorporated areas -- Frankfort Square, Illinois - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Will County Land Use Department
