Default Stay-at-Home Mom (SAHM) Friendly neighborhoods
Hi there --

Any recommendations on specific neighborhoods/subdivisions where the playgrounds are not empty between 9:00 and 5:00 p.m.? Where full-time parents can be found walking their tots to 1/2 day preschool? Where kids stay home over summer vacation? North burbs, South burbs, West 'burbs...
Do such places still exist?

Just about any "community" i.e. subdivision out here in Kane county (St. Charles/Geneva) far west has tons of SAHM. I am a minority as a full-time working Mom here for sure.

Well, I already mentioned Oak Park-River Forest in a previous thread. Lots of SAHM and activites and groups geared towards SAHMs.
