There has to be a van or something to take the people to work shopping etc

I was not aware cch did not have public transp.
its apparent its not important for them to use they for getting around

The City of Country Club Hills will be donated 3 acres towards this project.

Now in the past the city has refused to allow large scale public housing developments to be built, now they are all of a sudden are approving it? I personally believe that it is a bad idea for the simple fact that it is disastrous to concentrate lower-income residents in one confined area. This type of development has proven to be a failure time and time again and yet people are still trying to do it.

I understand that the South Suburbs is in desperate need of housing for the homeless. However, why CC Hills? There's no real access to public transportation; there aren't many jobs in the area; and if they are going to place it near the Gatling Property, the residents will be even more isolated. A place like this would be better suited Harvey, Cal City or Chicago Heights where there is access to public transportation to the city and elsewhere. Plus they may be better equipped to work with and tolerated the homeless population than CC Hills. CC Hills is solidly middle-class and, in my opinion, I don't think they have the patience to deal with this type of population.

Ok. I can ramble on all day. Let me know what ya'll think.

Yeah I agree, I live in CCH and it has little public transit what so ever. It has a few Pace Bus's that run down 183rd,175th, and 167th going towards Metra Electric. Ive went to city meetings COUNTLESS times and asked for more Pace Bus lines and nothing has ever happened, If there gonna have this PADS center they better add a few new Bus lines.

Don't take it personally. It probably has something to do with the fact that CCH has nothing at all to do with Pace.

Pace probably won't create new bus routes just for you either, but you can give it a try.
