My mom wants to book the super 8 (Glen Ellyn, Naperville) hotel for our stay in chicago. The address is 677 Roosevelt Rd, Glen Ellyn, IL . Is this in walking distance to the el or metra? If not does anybody know of any suburb hotels that are in walking distance to el or metra? thanks!

That's a good half-hour walk from the Glen Ellyn Metra station. The Courtyard by Mariott in Wood Dale offers complimentary shuttle service from the hotel to the Wood Dale Metra station.

What is going on in Glen Ellyn that your mother wants to stay there? I would not suggest that particular hotel as the reviews for it haven't been too favorable. There are nicer/cleaner hotels in Downers Grove and Lombard. I believe there is a Pace Bus that will take you west to Main St. That will get you closer to the Metra, but you'll still have to walk about 5 blocks. I think half-hour is a little ambitious.
