I've looked up the crime data for just about every neighborhood and town in Chicagoland, lol. What are you trying to say here? Crime data isn't everything. And some of the towns you're talkin trash about have a below average crime rate, anyway.

Crime data is enough to tell whether an area is safe or not. Last time I checked, families that want to live the simple life don't find crime infested communities desirable.

There is something to be said for raising your kids in a way where they respect and acknowledge other cultures.

There is also something to be said when you raise your kids in a community with horrible schools, high crime rate, and residents who have no care about their community and glorify gangs and thugs. It's called bad parenting. The more you know!

Homewood, Flossmoor, Olympia Fields, Lansing and even CC Hills do NOT have high crime rates or horrible schools. Look at the data.

So you think TF South and Hillcrest are good schools? One school has an average ACT score of 18.5! Most university like UIC want at least a 23-24. To me, that's a horrible high school.

2012 ACT National and State Scores | Average Scores by State | ACT

The average score for the state of IL in 2012 is 20.9. UIC does not want the average student of many states...as the national average is 21!

The lowest score they will accept is a 21 and that means they BARELY made it in. Why are people so quick to defend underperforming schools?

Because you're talking trash about all the towns in our large suburban area. Duh.

It's "trash talk" because it isn't constructive criticism at all. What are you trying to accomplish here with these words?
