I've lived in Joliet for the past few years. I moved here from Columbus Ohio.

I have to say that the weather is normal mid-west weather (hot in summer, cold in winter etc...)

There are plenty of things to do around here.

I've lived in Joliet almost 45 years now and even though there are problems with crime, drugs, etc., every city and 'burb has that. Just be smart and stay away from those areas....in Joliet, east of the river. The downtown area is fine during the day due to the bustle of activity at the courthouse and at night, it's fairly deserted. The older neighborhoods in Crest Hill and Joliet are alright. The College of St. Francis is in an older neighborhood which is very nice. Lewis College is in what I would consider farm land as is Joliet Junior College. I guess what I'm trying to say is just be smart and don't put yourself in an area that you don't feel comfortable in no matter what city you're in.

Hi, I was wondering if you could give me a little more information on the Burton PLace Apartments. Me and my fiance have just filled out applications for a 1-bedroom there and are on the waiting list but I'm now second guessing myself because I'm hearing bad things about the apartments. Is it true they are infested and there's alot of break-ins? Please respond to my e-mail if you can: Dreamer11577@msn.com Thanks!
