Absolutely! Of course the OP isn't buying a house or even choosing Park Forest in the true sense of a choice. The OP is moving in with his or her aunt's house.

And "livable" is an understatement compared to where you currently live, Runova. West Englewood, right?

Yeah! I like Park Forest, but the daily commute would kill me. I love that woodsy feel!

I really don't want to scare you away from moving to Park Forest but just so you are aware, that's not exactly the best part of town. And I suppose if you have to walk to the Matteson train station from there you can. You got to do what you got to do. It's feasible but not desirable. Do you not have a car OR a bicycle?
Urza - There is a restaurant on Ridge Road near Dixie Hwy.
I was thinking it was Malaysian but maybe not.

Richton Park will put you closer to I57. Have you considered Matteson? I think Matteson is a wonderful community where you still have some decent shopping (though a lot of it has left) but yet a small town atmosphere.

If you want to spend even less, Steger or South Chicago Heights are also decent options. I have a buddy who lives by Sauk Trail and Union in Steger. Nice, quiet, small neighborhood.

I lived off Stella blvd in Steger, right by the elementary school. Steger's nice and quiet. Pretty much my whole family is there and has been all their lives. They say it's getting progressively worse but still very nice. I didn't really see how it was getting worse, seemed the same as it's always been to me lol
