I am looking to move to the New Lenox area with my family and the schools are the main reason why, also family lives nearby. Went and looked at a few of the newHartz homes going up all over new Lenox in a couple different neighborhoods. Does anyone have any experience with Hartz homes? Good quality? Easy to work with? Hidden costs? If you don't like Hartz can you provide specifics why?

Just some more background info:
We are a young family, I'm 30 and wife 28 and we have a 1yr old, so eventually schools will be a priority. We currently live in northwest Indiana, but my wife works in Frankfort. We are looking to move to new Lenox or even mokena/Frankfort area. We currently own our home and looking to move relatively soon. We went and looked at some of the new Hartz homes being built all over New Lenox and I am just not sure, while my wife likes the idea of a brand new home. Craftsmanship in models seemed a little lower than I expected but they are just the models (but was it just thrown together, or is this the best they have to offer?)
Our price range will be $220,000-250,000 range, which seems like the middle/lower end for good homes in this area. Coming from Indiana we have had to adjust our expectations as home prices and taxes are significantly higher. Hartz homes seem to offer a lot for the dollar but is it worth it? We are afraid that with our current budget and brand new home in a new subdivision, that we could be making a mistake where we might see the so called "Joliet" influx in the area. Should we be concerned?
